Brethren I ran into amazing testimonies of healing last week and I thought I should begin this edition of Joyful homes by sharing these testimonies to inspire someone who has given up because of his or her health condition.
How do we become victims of health conditions? Sometimes they could be man-made or spiritual. At other times, diseases just affect our bodies.
But what is the word of the Lord concerning our health condition? Did the Lord plan illness for his children? The simple answer is no.
Deuteronomy 7 vs. 15 is our authority. “ And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest upon thee; but will lay them upon all that hate thee”.
In other words, God knows that some diseases can spring up but be assured that God will not plant diseases in your life. However, there is a condition. You must live holy.
A person who engages in fornication or adultery must expect sexually transmitted diseases. Such a person must not attribute such infection to the will of God. It is not.
But first, let me share the testimonies I mentioned earlier .
God changes Blood Group – A lady gave a testimony at the ongoing 10th anniversary of Harken Unto Me of RCCG, Victory Chapel, Magodo.
She said by this time last year, she was hospitalized with all sorts of ailments. Being an SS (Sickle Cell patient), this was expected. By her own assessment, death was already around the corner. So, she sent her relations to bring photographs they had taken together, so she would look at them for the last time.
However, she got discharged and went for another round of tests, and the doctors were amazed that her Blood Group had changed. Doubtful, they went to about nine other laboratories to confirm the test and the result was the same.
One of the doctors told her, “ We don’t understand what we are seeing”. They asked for more time and after another round of tests, she was confirmed AA. This means no trace of sickle cell anymore. Just imagine how the congregation roared with shouts of Alleluia. Our God still heals.
The second one is the testimony which arose as a result of an affliction from a fellow human being.
This was at Laughter Foundation Ministry in Lagos- It was a case of three friends ( ladies). One had a boyfriend, and one of the other two snatched the boyfriend. The aggrieved lady made up her mind to take her pound of flesh. So she approached the third friend who is a hairdresser for help. The boyfriend snatcher went to make up her hair with the hairdresser friend. Unknown to her, the aggrieved had told the hairdresser to give her a part of the snatcher’s hair. The hairdresser complied. This was taken to a herbalist who told her to look for a Mama put that cooks with heavy fire and place the hair strand under the cooking pot which probably seats on bare ground. Once this was done, the body of the husband snatcher began to feel very hot. She went from hospital to another but nothing was found in all the tests.
Of course according to Pastor Oso; the General Overseer of Laughter Foundation Ministry, who gave the testimony, the boyfriend ran away. But the word of God touched the friend who gave the hair away, she confessed and she had to bring the victim who had emaciated for prayers.
Prayers were said for her and she her gradual recovery began. After a while she fully recovered.
Did you get the point in these two testimonies? First is that only God can undo what any man has done. Two, no situation is hopeless before God. He is the only one who can reverse the irreversible. Do you know how many people have died as a result of sickle cell? But God saved this lady.
Do you also get the point that the problem of the three friends was a result of their unholy living. Ladies who should be living a holy life were competing for the attention of a man they were not married to and who may not marry anyone of them.
Note also that they were all friends whereas in reality they are what some Pastors call unfriendly friends. Did you also get the point of breach of trust?
Did you also learn that one should never underestimate the response of human beings when they feel betrayed?
Just take time to reflect on these testimonies and you will learn more lessons.
While reflecting, we should do a soul searching of our own lives too?
Are you guiding your daughter or sister properly?
Had these ladies known of the word of God as recorded in 1st Corinthians 6 vs. 13. We’ll consider the last part of verse 13 which states “ Now the body is not for fornication , but for the Lord;and the Lord for the body”. They would not have concentrated on an issue that could cause pain in future.
Have you given up on that sick relation? Please don’t give up. Truly, you may be stressed but cry unto God for help. Once the patient is healed, your stress will be over.
Whatever is that health situation you are coping with, the Lord can put an end to it. Only believe and confess it.
Take authority from Exodus 23 vs. 25 “ And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread and thy water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee”.
For someone who has been on the hospital bed, there is hope. The help of God is available. You only need to believe. Take a lot of time to remind the Lord of his words “I will take sickness away from the midst of thee”, confess your sins and ask for his mercy.
How do I know you will be healed? The Psalmist’s record is our witness. Psalm 30 vs. 2 “ O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me”. This should give you an assurance that you aren’t the first person to be ill but you can be healed if you cry unto the Lord.
Only believe in the word of God. Do not ask for signs. Doubt is the reason we ask for signs. You will see the sign when you are healed.
Bear in mind the story of the woman with the issue of blood(Matthew 9 vs. 20-22).
Verses 21 and 22 “ For she said within herself, if I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour”.
Brethren, your faith is crucial to your healing. You need to raise your faith to a high level to receive healing. That situation that is making you take medication daily, can be turned around. Only believe God.
I pray for you in the name of Jesus, you will be healed. Those who are waiting for your obituary will wait in vain in the mighty name of Jesus.
Remember the mercy of God is available and will give you comfort from every situation that is giving you pain.
Hebrews 4 vs. 16 “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need”.
At all times, we need to bear in mind the word of the Lord concerning us in 3rd John vs. 2 “ Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as they soul prospereth”.
Have a blessed week.
