Precious Nwakaeze shines at Topfield Schools’ inter-house sports competition

Precious Nwakaeze was the star performer and biggest winner at Topfield Schools’ inter-house sports competition for 2017.

The 15th annual event which rounded up on Saturday 25th February at Navy Barracks, Mobil road, Ajegunle-Apapa, saw the tall lanky athlete gather fourteen gold medals by finishing first in all events; both on and off the tracks, that she participated in.

The principal of the school, Mr. Agbolabo Onasanya had in his opening remark wished that the best team win. These words Precious Nwakaeze and fellow members of Feco-Million House drew inspiration from by charging out of the starting block with winning clearly the motive at the blast of the starter’s whistle.

Feco-Million House flying on the wings of Precious consolidated on the fine performance they put up at the concluded events where they amassed 20 gold, 13 silver and 11 bronze medals.

Events students competed in for medals ranged from Tug of War, Scrabble, Ayo, Monopoly and the usual track and field events that made up inter-house sports competitions.

At the end of the day, Feco-Million House (Yellow) came first, followed by Green House with Chief E.T Adefowora as its patron. Dr. Agbolade Onasanya House (Red) came third while Chief Akinoso House (Blue) came fourth in the secondary school category.

For the primary school, Green House came first, followed by Blue, Yellow and Red Houses respectively.

Topfield Schools produced Lawreta Ozor who represents Nigeria at global athletics events and Elizabeth Braimoh; winner of the Lagos State U-17 Monopoly contest in 2016.
