FasTrack Schools held its 2026 Inter-house Sports festival, setting a new standard by moving beyond track races.
Held at the FHA field in Festac Town, Lagos, the day featured numerous sports events, including the 100m and 200m races, sack race, tug of war, and many other activities.
The march past event, primary school level, saw Ruby House (Red) take the first position, followed by Emerald House (Green) and Topaz House (Yellow). For the college group, Marigold House (Yellow) came out as the winner of the march past, while Tulip House (Green) and Lavandula House (Blue) took second and third positions.
For the overall winners, Emerald House (Green) was the winner at the primary school level, while Ruby House (Red) and Topaz House (Yellow) followed in second and third places.
In the college division, Tulip House (Green) took the top spot as the overall winners, with Marigold House (Yellow) and Carnation House (Red) taking the second and third positions.
Chairman of the FasTrack School Board, Dr Tom Obaseki, opened the event by talking about tte school’s goal of training the total child.
“In FasTrack Schools, we believe in the development of the complete child. We do not just stop at excellence in academics and the sciences.” Dr Obaseki said.”
Sharing her view on the day, a parent, Mrs Atina, said she was happy to see her children show their skills outside the classroom.
“I feel very happy and I feel very fulfilled seeing them participating and doing well. It is a very wonderful thing to experience as a mother.” Atina said.
She also noted that the success of the event came from encouragement, unity, and love.
