A former Chairman of Malumfashi Local Government in Katsina State, Alhaji Muktar Ammani, has enjoined youths to be focused on their goals and manage their time effectively.

Addressing a crowd of supporters on Saturday in Malumfashi, Ammani also appealed to politicians to assist in empowering youth economically, as well discourage them from engaging in unwholesome activities.

He further advised the youths against being easily swayed by politicians into indulging in anti social behaviour for paltry gifts.

According to him, Malumfashi is bestowed with fertile land for all forms of agriculture as such youths should grab the opportunity to engage in farming.

He further called for combined efforts of teachers, parents, community and religious leaders to ensure the moral training of children to enable them become more productive in the community.

Spokesperson of the youth, Abdulbasir Skipper, commended the ex-council boss for supporting youths in the area and urged other politicians to emulate him.
