A 55 year old woman, Mrs Ngozi Biosah was arraigned at the Asaba Magistrates’ court for stealing.

Biosah was charged for stealing five Polo T-shirts valued at N15, 000 belonging to one Mrs Judith Ojie.

The prosecuting police officer, Mrs Blessing Okafor told the court that the accused committed the offence on Sept. 19, at Shop 1, DLA Road, Asaba.

She said that the offence was punishable under section 390(9) of the Criminal Code Law Cap C21 Vol. 1 Laws of Delta State of Nigeria 2006.

The accused pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N80, 000.

In granting the bail, the Magistrate, Mrs Akanume Okonkwo, ordered that the surety, who must be a civil servant, should be resident in Asaba with evidence of employment.

The case was been adjourned to Jan. 4, 2017 for hearing.
