ACTIVITIES on the NASD OTC Securities Exchange remained low with few securities exchanging hands last week.

For most part of December 2016, the number of activities has been very low, indicating low appetite for shares listed on the exchange for the period under review.0

Specifically, two securities exchanged hands at the end of Friday with Central Securities Clearing System, CSCS Plc, with price at N5.55 per unit recording N535,000 units of shares worth N2.9 million in 11 deals. It was followed by Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria Plc with price at N136.00 per unit, recording 1,256 unit of shares valued at N176.273.20.

In the penultimate week end, December 30,  2016, Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria recorded 6.087 units valued at N852,180 .00. It was trailed behind by Niger Delta Exploration and Production Plc where investors staked N6.862, 300 for   54,900 units.

Furthermore, for the week ended 23rd December, 2016, three companies’ shares exchanged hands. The CSCS recorded 330,000 units of shares valued at N1.827,500  valued at N1.825, 500,  followed by Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria which recorded  N66,240.00 for 480 units  exchanged in a single deal. Jaiz International Plc also recorded N4.785.00  for  2,900 units of shares s exchanged in a single deal.
