Low income, capital barrier to women’s devt, says Lagos Women Affairs Commissioner

Lagos State Commissioner for Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Lola Akande, has called on the federal and state governments to promulgate laws and policies that would boost women sources of income/capital. Akande stated that such laws should be promulgated at the federal level and replicated in states, to boost women’s financial capacity in order to grow their productivity, which will automatically translate into national productivity.
