For the first time, Nigerian born Japanese professional baseball star, Louis Okoye, is visiting Nigeria to share his career experience with His country men and women.

Okoye, an outfielder for the Tohoku Golden Eagles in Japan, is expected to visit Nigeria from 29th December, 2016 for the first time, and will stay until early January, 2017.

According to. Statement by the Japanese Embassy in Abuja, the Nigerian Baseball/Softball Federation will hold an interactive session including Exhibition mini-match in honour of the visiting baseball star.

The statement said, “This event will be at the Baseball field, National Stadium Complex in Abuja, starting at 4pm (Approx.) on 29th December.

“It is expected that the Nigerian Baseball/Softball team players will also benefit from the knowledge of the professional player.”
