Day after Christmas: Clerics preach patriotism, prayers

The Primate of the First African Church Mission, Most Rev. Sunday Matilukuro, the General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka and Diocesan Bishop of Lagos, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Revd. Ephraim Ademowo have called on Nigerians to uphold the virtues of true patriotism for the development of the country.

In their separate messages, they observed that no meaningful development could take place in an atmosphere of rancour and hatred.

Urging Nigerians to be patriotic, pray for leaders and make sacrifices for the nation to move forward, Matilukuro said: “The future of Nigeria is in our hands,  both the leaders and citizenry. If we desire a better country, we must shun all acts of indiscipline, fear God and also put our neighbors into consideration in whatever we do. I see a better future for Nigeria.”
