Accolades are still coming the way of the newly crowned Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Rangers International of Enugu with the latest coming from the umbrella body of NPFL Club Owners and Managers called the Football Club Owners Association Of Nigeria.
A statement from Alloy Chukwuemeka, the Executive Secretary of the Club Owners congratulated the Management, players, officials, supporters and fans of Rangers international Football club of Enugu and the government of Enugu state on their historic emergence as champions of the Nigeria apex league after 32 years.
A 4-0 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium ‘The Cathedral’ in Enugu saw the coal city Flying Antelopes emerge as winners of the NPFL trophy and N40m prize money.
“Club Owners felicitate with Rangers international FC on their achievement. We urged them to keep the winning spirit high even as they represent the country in next year’s CAF champions league”, the statement read.
Club Owners further extended its good will messages to the other clubs that secured continental slots namely Rivers United FC and Wikki Tourists FC respectively while also congratulating the other clubs that retained their place in the NPFL. It urged the relegated Clubs to accept their drop in good faith in the spirit of sportsmanship and work harder for a quick return to the elite division by next season.
