By Ochuko Akuopha

OLEH—ISOKO Development Union, IDU, the apex socio-cultural organisation of Isoko ethnic nationality, has condemned what it described as the campaign of calumny against the appointment of Dr. Ogaga Ifowodo and Engr. Samuel Adjogbe as commissioner representing Delta State and Executive Director, Projects, respectively, in Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

IDU, in a statement by its Secretary-General, Dr. F. Oniekoro, said that the Isoko nation “appreciates the imperatives of having a peaceful environment in the Niger Delta region and its impact on the development of the region.

“Isoko nation, therefore,  encourages all efforts made by the Federal and Delta State Governments and all other stakeholders towards the peaceful resolution of the Niger Delta crisis devoid of violence.”
