By Emeka Mamah
ENUGU—Enugu State governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has urged the people to have faith in God and promote peace and harmony in all their endeavours, saying that nations with the fear of God often experience positive developments arising from agreeable government policies.

Ugwuanyi spoke at the launch of a book written by Rev. Fr Emeka Chikezie Ngwoke at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Ede-Oballa, Nsukka Local Government Area of the state. The ceremony was organized to commemorate Fr. Ngwoke’s 25 years as a priest.

The governor asked the clergy, politicians among other stakeholders to support his administration towards achieving its objectives and policies, noting that the ultimate goal of governments is to alleviate people’s sufferings.

“Enugu State is in the hands of God and any nation that believes in God experiences positive development as all your entitlements would be given to you in due course,” he said.

The chairman of the occasion and the former Minister of Information, Chief Nnia Nwodo, praised the governor’s humility, diligence and fear of God, saying they were evident in his simple leadership style.
