The Nigerian military yesterday granted administrative bail to Ahmed Bolori and Aisha Wakil, who made themselves available to the authorities after being declared wanted.

Two suspected members of a robbery gang that allegedly attacked a church at Sabo-Onigba area of Ajagbandi, Lagos , carting away musical instruments worth N500,000 have been arrested by men of the Lagos State Police Command.

OWERRI—The Imo State Police Command, last Wednesday, arrested two notorious armed robbery suspects, whose stock in trade is robbing bank customers of their hard earned money. The latest success story came less than 48 hours after the Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu, paraded several suspects for varying criminal activities, including armed robbery and kidnapping.

Owerri—Former governor of Imo State, Mr. Achike Udenwa, has said that claims by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, that he jumped bail was done in bad faith, saying he was expected to report to the commission yesterday, August 18.

ABAKALIKI—Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has declared a state of emergency on Abakaliki Prisons. He made the declaration on Thursday evening when he visited the prisons after a botched jailbreak by the inmates. Umahi had just returned from Port Harcourt, Rivers State where he attended the Peoples Democratic Party national convention when he decided to visit the prisons.
