Chieftaincy struggle: Monarch obeys Obiano, sets up peace committee

Following the contest for the traditional rulership stool of Oraukwu, Idemili North-Council of Anambra State, and in clear demonstration of the wise counsel of Gov Willie Obiano, the new  monarch,  Igwe Emeka Onuorah, has set up a  reconciliation committee in the community.

The  nine-member committee, which has  set out work on its three-point agenda, has Archbishop Jide Okorji as chairman. It has  90 days to submit its report.

While inaugurating the committee, Onuorah charged the committee  to reconcile all individuals and groups who may be genuinely aggrieved by recent events regarding the Igweship tussle.

It was also charged to recommend sustainable steps to achieving a lasting peace in the community.
