AGBON—THE Agbon Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Stakeholders Forum, weekend, wrote Governor Ifeanyi Okowa over Ethiope East Local Government Area party congress and also passed a vote of no confidence on the party leader, Chief Bernard Edewor, following allegation of non performance and failure to consult with other party leaders before taking decisions.
The forum also passed a vote of confidence on Governor Okowa at an enlarged meeting of the PDP family as he celebrates his one year in office with the commissioning of numerous projects across the state.
The motion for the vote of confidence on Okowa was moved by Dr Lucky Oteheri and seconded by Chief Tony Oboroh while the vote of no confidence on Edewor was also moved by Oteheri and seconded by Chief Warri Godday from Abraka clan.
Speaking at the meeting, Chief Tony Oboroh, Evang. Emmanuel Okorodudu and Chief Andrew Majemite urged members of the party to show commitment and work without fear in ensuring that the area wins all its coming elections, explaining that the confidence vote on Okowa was long overdue considering his developmental projects in the state.
Other leaders at the meeting who supported the decision of the party include Chief Fred Sowho, MrArthur Akpowowo, Chief Patrick ldama and who others, as they expressed dismay over the two positions taken to Abraka clan with 3wards against Agbon 1 and 2 with 8 wards.
