Oil exports on course despite militants’ attacks
Nigeria in May exported 1.89 million barrels per day, contrary to fears that crude export has dropped to as low as 1.3 million barrel per day. 24-yr-old escaped detainee, re-arraigned for damaging police cell
An Ikeja Magistrate’s Court, yesterday, remanded a 24-year-old man, Seun Olamilekan, at Kirikiri Prisons, Lagos, after pleading guilty to breaking police cell. Olamilekan, whose address is unknown, is arraigned on a three-count charge of conspiracy, damage and escaping from lawful custody.
Man, 30, beats sister-in-law to pulp over barrenness
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. The accused, who pleaded not guilty to the offence, alleged that the complainant refused to let him into the house when he came back from work. The magistrate, Mrs O. S. Amzat, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N10,000 with two reliable sureties and adjourned the matter till July 17.
