ABAKALIKI—UKWAGBA community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, weekend, boiled over the leadership tussle between some groups and the local government boss in the area.

Vanguard‘s investigation revealed that the squabble started when the Council Chairman, Mr. Clement Odah, allegedly dissolved the cabinet of one Joseph Odanwu, who was elected as the chairman of Ukwagba central council.

It was gathered that Odanwu emerged as the chairman of the union, following the expiration of tenure of office of the former chairman, Chief Raphael Ituma on March 2015.

However, controversy  continued to trail the election that brought in Odanwu as he was accused of causing confusion and crisis in the community.

Odanwu was also accused of threatening to take over leadership as against the wishes and approval of the stakeholders of the community.
