“We have been looking for a world class game show that would engage and entertain the entire family and The Price is Right is the perfect format for us and we know it will be a big success in Nigeria” Olaegbe said.
He added that it is long overdue for Nigerians to have a family oriented show like this. “I am grateful to Fremantle Media for a partnership that ensures that Nigerians will benefit from the wide acceptability of the show and most importantly the simplicity of its audience rating which means that even the very young can participate and smile home with mouthwatering prizes”.
“The Price is Right” is the longest running family game show in history and has won twenty daytime Emmys; it has also been tagged the number one daytime show in United States. The format has been sold to 42 territories worldwide with Nigeria being the first in sub-Sahara Africa.
It has a wide variety of games with a basic challenge of guessing the prices of everyday consumer commodities for a chance to win fantastic prizes. It features contestants, all of whom are picked from the audience, who come from different parts of the country and a fun host.
The game show offers Nigerian brands an exciting opportunity to introduce new and existing products as well as an avenue to showcase the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of the brands, giving them an extensive reach while increasing top mind awareness.
