THE lawmaker representing Kabba/Bunu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has commended the Buhari administration for approving the construction of the Kabba-Obajana road project by Dangote Group.

Rep. Tajudeen Yusuf, while reacting to the approval of the road contract by the federal executive council, described as novel the arrangement where Dangote Group will undertake the construction of the road in return for the industrial giant to enjoy some sort of tax incentives from the government.

He said, “This is a project that has been in the works for the past eight years. An agreement for the construction of this road was almost concluded during the last administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, but negotiations stalled over terms. I want to commend all those who have shown commitment to see that this project is started. Equally, the Dangote Group deserves praise for agreeing to undertake the project.”
