The Lagos Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice. AG, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem on Monday observed that the major factor causing disaffection among relatives of a deceased and beneficiaries is his estate.

Kazeem who made the observation at a ceremony marking this year’s International Family Day in Alausa, Ikeja noted that efforts to process what is due to a deceased and his heirs, has always generated an avoidable disputes between those who manage such estate and its beneficiaries.

The commissioner who declared open the 2016 Family Day celebration organized by the Office of the Administrator-General and Public Trustee in commemoration of the Day said the United Nations proclaimed May 15 of every year as the International Year of Family, as a positive response to changing social and economic structures, which have affected and is still affecting the stability of family units in many regions of the world.

Disclosing the theme for this years”s day as : “Family, Health and Sustainable Future” the AG noted that the day was a laudable development considering the vital role the office play in promoting family cohesion.
