ON this year’s World Malaria Day,  themed:  “End Malaria for Good”, Greenlife Pharmaceuticals and Treehouse Consulting are championing a 1,000-man walk in Lagos to raise awareness on prevention and treatment of malaria.

At a briefing in Lagos, Marketing Manager, Greenlife Pharma Ltd., Mr Olufemi Ayokun, said the march against Malaria will hold April 26th, 2016, by 8am, from Classique Event Centre, Oregun and end at the Pavilion, Alausa, Lagos, with an awareness lecture.

“We will be glad if no child is lost to malaria again in this country. This would be possible if people adhere to  prevention procedures and treatment plans,” he said.

On her part, Chief Executive Officer of Treehouse Consulting, Morolake Akindiji, decried that 35 per cent of people who die from malaria are from Nigeria and Congo, with over 3.3 billion people at risk globally.

“There will be lecture on what is needed by every Nigerian to repel mosquito around their homes. Best treatment plans will be discussed as well. We believe when people are equipped with  information and adhere strictly to  professional advice that will be shared, the incidence rate of the scourge will reduce drastically,” she asserted.

Attendees at the walk include Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Idiati Adebule; the Commissioner for Health,  Dr. Jide Idris, representatives from the Ministry of Environment, Speaker of the House of Assembly, Lagos State.
