AHEAD the 2016 governorship election, the former Chairman Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih has met with governorship aspirants on the platform of the party and other leaders with a view to fixing the issues in the party.

Vanguard was reliably informed that Chief Anenih expressed concern over what he described as derogatory comments being made by some of the aspirants of the party against each other, saying that such attacks will do the party no good.

Assuring the aspirants of a level playing field in the conduct of the primaries, it was learnt that he admonished them to work hard as he has no anointed candidate, following insinuations that the leaders of the party are rooting for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Among the aspirants at the meeting were Solomon Edebiri, Matthew Iduoriyekemwen and Osaro Onaiwu. The meeting was on going at press time.
