Governor Olusegun Mimiko on Wednesday revealed that his administration is creating an industrial hub with its 30 Mega watts Independent Power Plant (IPP) under construction by the state government in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of the state, emphasizing that this will serve as a foundation for technology growth in Nigeria.
Mimiko who made the statement after been honoured with an e-governance award by Consumersng, an online platform advocating for a more people-centric culture in Nigeria said technology will rule everything in the world in about 10 to 20 years time.
The award according to the organizers was bestowed on Ondo State in recognition of the quality of the welfare services delivered to Ondo people via a multipurpose smart card initiative (Kaadi Igbeayo) designed by the Mimiko led government.
Speaking on the awards, Head, Communications, Consumersng, Funsho Williams, said the idea was initiated in recognition of brands best adopting high tech/digital initiatives in easing the burden of service delivery which is otherwise encountered between manufacturers and consumers.

She added: “We commend the disposition of the 20 winning brands towards the businesses they do, and assure that we will do all in our capacity to position them as models for others to emulate in a country where people-centered plans is continually on the decline.
