Get ready for tears of joy

Get ready for tears of joy

By Funmi Komolafe

I’m starting  this column this week  on a    joyful note.    Why?        Yours sincerely was in London last week    during which I visited Funmi, the mother of triplets.

Sometime ago, I wrote about    her    struggle and how she broke through after nine years of waiting.      How long have you been    waiting? Just cling to Jesus.    Feel free to use the mother of triplets  as a point of contact while praying.

After nine years of waiting, even when    her closest allies had  given up on her marriage, she put aside    her work to find a solution.

The point to be noted is that God also takes into account our determination to have a break through.    I am not suggesting that you leave your job though.

Funmi and her husband (    full names    withheld) left their jobs in    the United Kingdom to come to Nigeria to find solution to what they had identified as a spiritual challenge.      They were      determined to have children.

You will recall that in my earlier reference to this couple, I mentioned that      they had tried several IVFs that failed.

Today, with her determination and  consistent prayer in Laughter Foundation , God, in his mercy, rewarded her with a set of triplets: two boys and a girl.

The babies were born in England.

During my visit, I saw a different woman: joyful, radiant ,even though she had to care for three babies at a time with  assistance from      another person.

I simply told her what she has is joyful stress and she replied, “ This is better than being childless”.

Glory be to God, the one who begins when others have written you off.

Make up your mind to overcome

Anyone who is going through a challenge must make up his or her mind to overcome.

However, couples must      handle this carefully.      One must not put undue pressure on      the other.

Challenges are not just about child-bearing alone, there  could also be financial challenges.

That your husband has lost a job or is unemployed does not make the woman the head of the home.

That your      husband is broke and cannot meet his financial obligations still does not make the wife the head of the home.

My authority is found in Colossians 3    verse 18 which states: “ Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husband, as it is fit in the Lord”.

Ephesians 5 verses 22 and 23: “ Wives, submit      yourselves    unto your own husband, as unto the Lord. For      the husband is the    head of the wife, even as Christ is the head  of the church; and he is the savior of the body”.

A Christian wife, indeed a woman working in line with the word of God, should rather pray that God should lift      her husband up .    When this happens, of course the first beneficiary is herself.

One must say, however, that for a    family in such a situation    and many are, the woman needs a lot of patience to    relate well with her husband.    Remember, even to receive from God, we need patience.

God is a miracle worker and not    a magician.

Let’s return to the issue of child-bearing.

God’s unlimited ability

I refer to    Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s ( RCCG), in  Open Heavens of March 5, 2016, titled, “ Living Above Natural Limits”.

He stated, “ God is always ready to do great things  through the lives of those who seek Him.    The moment you yield totally to Him, you will begin to operate above natural limits. Without this supernatural ability, you will remain a common man and you will always have common results”.

Note the words,” yield totally to Him”.    In other words, you cannot yield to God and      go visiting any herbalist or bathing by the riverside to have children.    You cannot yield to God and heed to the advice of friends who will suggest that you go and have an affair with another      man and pass on the pregnancy to    your husband.    Why do I say this?    I know that some relations advise their daughters to do this .    The consequence of this can be very grave.

I recall that Pastor Adeboye, during one the Holy Ghost Services    at the Redemption Camp, warned that anyone who does    this is simply delaying her miracle.

Be warned.

I do know that many have been written off medically.    Some were told that the woman’s eggs are weak and cannot produce children; some the husband has zero sperm count; some the womb is too small to carry a baby. Others, the womb is so scarred and cannot carry a baby.    All sorts of medical reports but the good news is that I have seen many couples with      these  reports having children.

The truth is, whereas medical science is limited, God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth; your Creator is not limited.

Again, I refer to Pastor  Adeboye, in the    passage mentioned earlier. He stated, “ A medical report is not always God’s report; besides, it is whatever    report you believe that will manifest in    your life”.

The decision on what to believe is yours.

Mind you,    no one is saying that couples should not take medical steps to    have children.    No.

The truth, however, is that some situations      need to be tackled spiritually for medical science to      succeed.

In a number of cases, God has proved himself    beyond science.

Or how can medical science tackle the situation in which a lady had IVF about four times and it  failed because of a particular dream.

The woman, who is a mother of triplets, today, had an end put to that dream when the General Overseer of Laughter Foundation International Ministry personally prayed for her.

The dream stopped and, today, she has three, not one baby to carry.

Apart from this, I have also witnessed a pregnant woman who bled continuously and the bleeding only stopped after a prayer session.

Sisters and brothers, get ready    , you will soon shed tears of joy.

Brethren, it is time to stand up and claim your right to fruitfulness.

Genesis 1 verse 28″: And God blessed them, saying, ‘Be fruitful and multiply’”.

Editor’s Note-    Don’t forget, Laughter Foundation  programme for 19,000 twins is still on.    Also,    don’t  forget    RCCG’s April Holy Ghost Night for children. Other churches also have similar programmes. Pray that the Lord should lead you to the right place.

Don’t be to busy. Attend.
