By Vincent Ujumadu

Awka—THE candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the scheduled rerun Anambra Central senatorial zone, Chief Victor Umeh said yesterday that the exercise would not be easy, even as he expressed confidence that he has worked very hard to win the election.

Addressing reporters at his home town, Aguluzigbo in Anaocha local government area, Umeh said he has been reaching out to the stakeholders in the zone, adding that the emotion being expressed by the people to ensure his victory has been very encouraging.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has fixed the election for  March 5, 2016  and 13 candidates who participated in the exercise on March 28, 2015, are expected to take part in the rerun. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has however been disqualified from participating in the rerun.

Umeh said that apart from his acceptability among the electorate in the zone, the performance of the APGA –led government has become a big plus for him, coupled with the fact that the people have been expressing appreciation for his efforts in championing good governance in the state.
