Four worshippers were killed in a suicide bombing at a mosque in northern Cameroon on Monday, a security source said, five days after a similar attack left 12 people dead. Monday’s blast hit the village of Nguetchewe in Cameroon’s Far North region, in an area near the border with Nigeria regularly targeted by Boko Haram jihadists. “The toll of this attack is four dead and two injured,” the source, who was at the scene of the attack, told AFP.

7m Nigerian children malnourished – Nutritionist

Dr Uthman Mubashir, Kwara Coordinator of the Civil Society Scaling up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN), on Monday said about seven million children in the country are malnourished. Mubashir told newsmen in Ilorin that two out of every three children are not properly fed. According to him, the mortality rate due to malnutrition is high and running into two digits.
