Former Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, has challenged his successor in office, Governor Nyesom Wike to publish the statements of government accounts with Skye Bank, FAAC, Zenith Bank and Access Bank, insisting that about N7.5 billion cash was left as balance in the state Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, as at May 29, 2015, alongside money in other accounts, totalling N8 billion.

Ahead of the 2016 governorship election in Edo State, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has said it had thrown its doors open for credible persons aspiring to contest in the election to join the party.

The governor, who stormed the state Secretariat at 8:00am, in an unmarked car and without the usual convoy and aides, ordered the gates of the Secretariat locked after him. The unsuspecting civil servants walked into the waiting hands of the governor, who kept watch at the gate. Over 30 late comers were apprehended by the Governor, who immediately directed that a disciplinary committee be set up to try them with appropriate sanctions.

Policemen attached to Lagos State Police Command have arrested a young man, identified as Agubosin Ifeanyi Friday, for allegedly impersonating the former Lagos State Commissioner of police, Mr. Kayode Aderanti.

The police detectives attached to ota division of the command in Ogun State have arrested a-65-year-old landlord, Joseph Olaleye for allegedly setting a-three year old boy of his tenant Abdulahi Razaq ablaze to death.
