UN seeks $174 m to support refugees fleeing Boko Haram

The United Nations on Saturday launched an appeal to raise slightly over 174 million dollars to support Nigerian refugees who have fled to Chad, Niger and Cameroon to escape Boko Haram Islamist insurgency. Robert Piper, the UN's Regional Humanitarian Coordinator for the Sahel region, said this to newsmen in Dakar.
