TUC urges Buhari to address workers’ plight

The Trade Union Congress (TUC) on Wednesday urged the President-elect, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, to address the plight of workers in the country. The congress appealed to Buhari to employ his disciplinary tact to stamp out corruption in the civil service. Mr Ifeanyi Okechukwu, the Chairman of TUC in Anambra, made the call in an interview with the newsmen in Awka.

CBN limits overseas usage of debit cards to $50,000

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) yesterday reduced the limit for usage of naira debit cards for transactions overseas to $50,000 from $150,000 per person, per annum.
The reduction was announced by the Director, Trade and Exchange Department, CBN, Mr. Olakanni Gbadamosi via a circular titled “Usage of Naira Denominated Cards Overseas.
