The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali has said that the solid education foundation put in place by the sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, helped to put the old Western Region and its people ahead of other regions of the federation till the present time.

Ogun State Police command, Tuesday, arraigned a- 34-year-old farmer, Ariyo Fadipe before an Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court for allegedly looting a controversial hotel belonging to former governor of Ogun State , Otunba Gbenga Daniel in Abeokuta.

Passengers in their hundreds were yesterday stranded at the various bus-stops along the Ikeja-Airport road due to shortage of airport shuttle buses because of the new rules introduced by Federal Airport Authority of Nigerian, FAAN.

A three-member National and State Houses of Assembly Election Tribunal in Sokoto State, was on Wednesday inaugurated by its Chairman, Justice Anselem Nwaigwe. The two other members of the Tribunal are Justice Ogbogo Ejembi and Justice Abubakar Mohammed. Nwaigwe said that the tribunal had so far received four petitions in respect of the State and National Assembly elections.
