Burundi protesters march towards state broadcaster
Hundreds of protesters in Burundi marched towards the state broadcaster signing the national anthem Wednesday after a top general launched a coup against the president, an AFP reporter said. Police and troops loyal to President Pierre Nkurunziza are in control of the building.
Minister assures film institute of Government’s support
The Minister of Information Sen. Patricia Akwashiki, on Wednesday assured the National Film Institute (NFI) of Federal Government’s support to generate employment for Nigerian Youths. Akwashiki said this when she delivered a speech at the 2014/2015 Matriculation of the Institute in Jos. NLC seeks Emir’s intervention in JUSUN strike In Nasarawa
The Nasarawa State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has urged the Emir of Lafia, Alhaji Mustapha Agwai, to intervene in the strike of Judicial Staff Union (JUSUN) in the state. The NLC Chairman, Mr Abdullahi Adeka, who made the plea in Lafia on Wednesday, when the newly elected executive of the union visited the Emir in his Palace in Lafia.
