By Emma Amaize
ASABA- A legal practitioner and human rights activist in Delta State, Oghenejabor Ikimi, has demanded under the Freedom of Information Act, FOI, 2011, the total amount approved for the recent overseas training of the 24 members of the Delta State House of Assembly and their aides, including the amount received by each member and their respective aides.

He made the request in an application, dated October 19, addressed to the Clerk of the Delta State House of Assembly.

Ikimi also urged the clerk to apprise him with the total income and expenditure of Udu local government council from September 2014 to September 2015.

Three lawmakers contacted by Vanguard said they were not authorized to speak for the House on the matter, but noted that that there nothing wrong with their authorized trip overseas for necessary training to enhance their legislative capacity and service to the people
