Lagosians speak on new Exco

Mrs. A. Mojisola

We are not expecting anything than continuity from the Commissioners and Special Advisers. The past administration did a good job. We want the legacy to continue, to have a better Lagos state. This administration should work on the roads in the state, we have a lot of bad roads, if you go to Alimosho, Ayobo and Ipaja, there are bad roads. We want the governor through the commissioners to improve on that area.

Mr. Lekan Bakare from Apapa

“If you go through the list of the commissioners, their backgrounds speak for them. They are well qualified and experienced. The Lagos state government had done a very good job to ensure they get the good people for the right jobs. APC preach change and we expect more changes in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.

“I want the governor and his cabinet to focus on development of infrastructure, power and roads. We still have challenges. There are many of the federal roads that need to be upgraded. With the new commissioners coming on board, we believe they will work hand-in-hand with the Federal Government to ensure that power is restored, the roads are repaired, youths are employed and there is quality education.

“I will also use this opportunity to call on residents to support the governor and the commissioners and we should have hope that things will go on well.”

Mr. Ayo Orimolade

“To be strategic is better than to be in hurry and I think it is a strategic thing they are being commissioned today. We expect good governance from them, devoid on party sentiments to make residents happy. With the list, we are sure and very confident they are going to make the residents proud

“All about good governance is strategic. Ambode has come in and he has positioned himself to appoint those he knows that can do the work, those that can move Lagos State forward and those that can hit the ground running.” “I expect an excellent performance from the cabinet members. There should be avenues in which they can be interacting with the citizens, to make Lagos state better.”

Hon. Olarewaju Adekunle

“The commissioners and special advisers are well known to us. We believe they will continue from where the past administration stopped. They are all experienced. “Now that Ambode has formed his cabinet, he will perform well, adding that his administration should focus on road, transportation and also ensure that traffic is curtailed.”

All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain in Isolo Oshodi Local Government Area, Otunba Jide Oni, also expressed confidence in the choices of the commissioners and aides appointed by Ambode.”
