Abuja—As part of efforts to ensure environmental sustainability in the country, The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency, NESREA, and the National Space Research and Development Agency, NASRDA, have entered into an agreement.
Both agencies yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, at the Headquarters of the Space Research Centre in Abuja to consummate the agreement.
Describing the MoU as epoch making, the Director-General of NESREA, Dr. Lawrence Anukam, described the agreement as a framework that would vastly enhance environmental protection and longevity, stressing that the two agencies had a lot in common in terms of environmental management and control.
Dr Anukam said: “We are ready to work together to ensure that we leverage on this synergy to improve and address environmental issues across the country.”
He said NESREA was ready to partner other agencies to ensure it delivered on its mandate to make Nigeria a healthier environment.
