Covenant varsity graduates 1,315; 104 make first class

Sango-Ota—Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, yesterday, said that it would graduate a total of 1,315 students, with 104 bagging First Class Degree.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Charles Ayo, said this at a media briefing ahead of the institution’s 10th convocation.

Ayo said the event was for the award of first and higher degrees in various disciplines in the institution.

He said that of the 1,315 students, 610 others would be graduating in the Second Class Upper Division, while 510 will be graduating in the Second Class Lower Division.

According to him, 91 others would be graduating in the Third Class Division.

The VC said that the institution would also be graduating 135 postgraduate students during the ceremony.

He said that the number of this year’s first class graduates was an improvement on the 82 the institution produced at the 2014 convocation.
