Enugu residents lament as FG abandons rehabilitation of Enugu-Onitsha Expressway

ENUGU — The rehabilitation of the Enugu-Onitsha expressway which the Federal Government commenced its rehabilitation few week to the general elections has been abandoned. Rehabilitation work had commenced at the Enugu end prompting the closure of the dual carriage road to a single lane causing untold hardship to motorists in Enugu metropolis. At the Penox to Abakpa Junction axis, motorists meandered through the single lane even as traffic gridlock caused snarls of vehicle lines along the ever busy road.
