The Federal Executive Council yesterday offered Special Prayers to mark the 5th anniversary of President Goodluck taking over the leadership of Nigeria as substantive president. The event which took most members of the council by surprise as most of them did not remember the date saw the Minister of Labour, Chinedu Nebo an ordained minister in the anglican communion and the Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda offering christian and muslim prayers respectively.

The House of Representatives’ Ad-Hoc committee had summoned Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Coordinating Minister for the Economy and the Minister of Finance and Mr Akinwumi Adesina, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development over the alleged N21 billion waivers granted some rice importers.

ABUJA-MINISTER of Agriculture, Dr Akinwunmi Adesina Tuesday said as a minister he does not give waivers to importers and that it was a case of the hunter being hunted by those that should be hunted.
