Blessing Okagbare’s chastisement of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria’s recruitment of foreign athletes has ruffled feathers at the Federation and she could be facing disciplinary actions if the words of the AFN’s technical director, Omasteye Nesiama are anything to go by.

The All Farmers Association of Nigeria, AFAN, has called on the President-elect, Gen. Muhammedu Buhari, rtd, to drive Nigeria economy on agriculture as a means of combating the dwindling fortunes from the oil sector.

“Government should overhaul the existing refineries and encourage building of new ones, most especially modular ones all around the country to enable the country increase her refining capacity for local consumption. This will support export of refined products and thereby maintaining local employment and saving the nation of foreign exchange used in the importation of refined products.

Students of the Lagos State University, LASU yesterday reacted over allegation made by the state government that they were party to the reason for the continued closure of the institution, saying; “We have never been part of the crisis that led to the continued closure of the school.”

The Lagos House of Assembly has said, it wont be able to legislate against trucks and tanker drivers who park on Apapa/Oshodi expressway.
