OVER 275,000 Gmail accounts and 30 million sent emails are now said to have the imprints of mobile messaging double- check app, MailTrack.io. The app takes the double-checks from mobile messengers to Gmail. Created in Barcelona in the end of 2013, MailTrack.io was idealized by Nacho González-Barros, a famous serial entrepreneur in Spain who created websites such as InfoJobs.net and Niumba.

As a business strategy, MailTrack follows the freemium model by offering the double-checks for read confirmation in Gmail for free. In the next months, the startup will release its professional version under MailTrack.io for Work, making the double-checks available also for professional email address hosted by Google Apps for Work.
In June 2014, MailTrack.io completed a seed investment round of $460,000. According to González-Barros, the main objective of the startup this year is to develop extra features for MaiTrack.io and take them to new platforms, including iOS, Android and Firefox. “The increasing interest on the email as a productivity tool has been attracting entrepreneurs and investors everywhere. Our ambition is that MailTrack.io becomes a must-have solution for everyone that uses it,” he explained.
