Yenagoa—Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, worldwide has commended the efforts of the Nigeria Armed Forces and the joint national forces for the successes recorded so far in the ongoing war against insurgency in the North-East of Nigeria.

Spokesman of IYC, Eric Omare, while lauding the military campaign against the insurgents, said the war against insurgency cannot be completely won without the total support of the people and communities directly affected.

Omare, in a statement in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, called on the Federal Government and the governments of neigh-bouring Chad, Cameroun and Niger Republic not to relent in the ongoing war without flushing out all the Boko Haram insurgents.

Sympathizing with the families of those who paid the ultimate price in the crucial national assignment, IYC insisted that there must be no room for any sort of negotiation with insurgents.
