All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari (ret), has promised to boost infrastructure and social services through funds realised from blockages to corruption in government.

Buhari spoke in Sokoto, yesterday, during his ongoing campaign for the presidency at the Giginya Stadium.

Buhari cited insecurity, poverty, unemployment, bribery and corruption as the cankerworms bedevilling the country’s growth.

Promising to tackle them and boost the country’s socio-economic development, Buhari said: “These are the major problems bedevilling Nigeria now and the moment they are fully tackled, Nigeria will be a better place to live.

“An APC-led Federal Government will provide more jobs for the teeming unemployed youths of the nation who formed between 60 – 65 per cent of our population.

“The youths, whether educated or uneducated will be provided with jobs by the Federal Government under me, if elected,” he said in the Hausa language.

He also promised that an APC- led Federal Government would pay attention to the agricultural sector.

“Monies that will be realised from anti-corruption crusade will be channelled to health, water and power supplies, as well as the provision of social infrastructure.

“We will also uphold the trust and confidence reposed in us by Nigerians, when elected into office,” Buhari promised.
