Kano Pillars
The government of Kano State is now grappling with how to source a whopping N600 million tabled before it by the management of Nigeria Premier League Champion, Kano Pillars Football club. That is the amount the club intend to spend in its local and continental campaign next year.
The General Manager of the Club, Alhaji Babangida Umar confirmed that the club has made a submission of the amount to the state government for consideration.
He said in line with the preparation for the CAF Champions League and the defence of their local league title, the club’s management had sent a N600million proposal to the state government through the supervising ministry for consideration.
Umar said of this amount N400million will take care of the remuneration of the players and technical crew, the recruitment of new players as well as the running cost of the club while over N200million is required for the CAF Champions League campaign.
