The governor who was represented by the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alh. Barrister Yusuf Olaniyonu at the annual Hijrah awareness lecture jointly organized by the Muslim Community and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, held at the Corps College of Security Management, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta,Ogun state recently, said peaceful co-existence was the key to development.

The governor charged Muslim faithful to move closer to God and do justice to all irrespective of religious affiliation.
Also, Chief Imam of Egbaland, Alhaji Imam Liadi Orunsola urged Muslims to live peacefully with others, noting that peace as a major ingredient in the development of any society was missing in our contemporary world.
In the same vein, the Chief Imam of the Corps, Alhaji Imam Shaffi Omojole stated that the topic was not only timely but also appropriate especially at this time when politics has become the main issue. He enjoined every one especially Muslims to take lessons from Allah who named himself peace, gave them the religion of peace, greeting of peace and a code of conduct to ensure peace among all men.
Delivering a lecture themed: “Living with others in Peace”, Mallam Abdussalam Abdurrazaq said Almighty Allah has given mankind everything needed to live in peace by creating, adding that the only way to live in peace despite our differences is to do justice at all times.
“Rassulullah was custodian of properties belonging to non Muslims. Rasulullah took loan from a Jew, and he did justice to all, just as Allah spoke of justice as a universal term.”
