In its quest to raise the standard of pharmacy practice to meet the expectations of Nigerians and in line with global best practices, the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, PSN, is set to hold its 87th annual national conference with a symposium designed to put into consideration how transformation could cut across various dimensions of pharmacy practice.
The event, slated for November 3-8, 2014 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, will put into consideration how pharmacy practice can be transformed for better outcomes that will reflect greatly on the well being of every Nigerian.
Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee, Pharm. Chijioke Onyia said the conference comes with new packages including the maiden Deans’ Forum, Directors of Pharmaceutical Services Forum, and Head of Pharma, Federal Health Institutions Forum as part of agenda to boost human relationships management including the Board of Fellows and Young Pharmacists Group.
Onyia said under arrangements with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria, PCN, to revolutionalise Mandatory Continuing Professional Development, MCPD, credit point earnings, the continuing education segment of the conference is billed to hold hold at the ultra-modern e-library facility of Akwa Ibom State Government in Uyo.
During the event, four Nigerians who have distinguished themseleves will be conferred with Ambassadors of the Health Sector even as the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio chairs the programme.
