BENIN CITY—Political Adviser to Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, Mr Charles Idahosa, yesterday, alleged that the former Foreign Affairs Minister, Chief Tom Ikimi, who recently dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, was the architect of some of the political problems Oshiomhole was addressing in the state APC.

“What Ikimi did by saying that he has gone back to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, where his Esan brother Chief Tony Anenih is, just because Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, a Bini man was made National Chairman of APC is an insult to the Binis and they will pay for it come February 2015 because when both of them where National Chairmen of NRC and SDP, the Binis supported them because we saw them as our brothers.

But for Ikimi to say because Oyegun is National Chairman, he decided to quit the party to join his brother, they will never get any support from the Binis.

“How can you tell people that you are decamping because you were not made national chairman and that Oyegun was imposed on the party. Meanwhile, Ikimi is the godfather of imposition.

All the problems Oshiomhole has encountered in Edo State were caused by Tom Ikimi. Ikimi created problems for Oshiomhole.

“In the last congress we had in Edo State, the problem we are having in Esan is tied around him because he believed that everything that is done in that area must be tied to him.”
