The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Lawyers in the Media, LIM, has elected new officers to run the affairs of the Forum.

The election which was  keenly  contested and held at the  just concluded annual general conference in Owerri Imo State, produced Mr John Austin Unachukwu-Chairman, Mrs Vera Chinwuba-Vice chairman; Mr Adam Adedimeji-Secretary Mrs Wunmi Obabori-Assistant Secretary; Mr  Jude Igbanoi-Treasurer; Mr Adelannwa  Bamigboye-Financial Secretary. Theodora Kio-Lawson- Welfare Officer and Francis Famuroti-Publicity Secretary.

In his acceptance speech, Mr Unachukwu thanked members for the confidence reposed in him and other officers to serve the association at this critical time in its history. He thanked the former chairman of the association Mr. Charles and his team for keeping the flag of the association afloat despite challenges they faced in the last three years.

Unachukwu promised to consolidate on the success recorded by his predecessors and pledged to  co-operate with the leadership op the NBA to achieve the aims and objectives  of the founding fathers of LIM for the over all interest, welfare and wellbeing of its members.
