2015: RTEAN backs Jonathan

…to mobilise  16m members for Abuja rally

ABUJA—BARELY few days after the National Executive Committee, NEC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan as its sole candidate for the 2015 Presidential Election, the leadership of Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria, RTEAN, yesterday, threw its weight behind the president, urging him to come out and not disappoint Nigerians.

National President of RTEAN, Alhaji Musa Shehu Isewele, said that the body in collaboration with Barrister Ujuken Ohanenye-led Good Governance Vanguard would in the next couple of weeks, put in place a rally for the president in Abuja, boasting that “either he likes it or not, he has to come out because we need him.”

Shehu said the RTEAN and Good Governance rally in support of President Goodluck Jonathan, ahead of 2015 would involve its 16 million members and other affiliate bodies. Other bodies are Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association, NATA; Motorcycles  and Tricycles Operators Association of Nigeria; National Commercial Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association; Ajegboro and IFESOWAPO Tippers Association; Autobike Commercial Owners and Workers Association, ANACOWA; All Farmers and Tricycles Operators Association of Nigeria.
