Questionmark Entertainment boss, Kevin Lucciano Gabriel, who recently emerged the new interim president of the Performing Musician Association of Nigerian (PMAN) shocked the industry watchers during the week when he openly declared that he has no intention to run for the president of the troubled union come next year when they will be conducting their general elections.
Lucciano made this declaration, while speaking at the flagging off, of “Light up the Unity flame for Nigeria” campaign, being championed by the Nigerian artistes under the aegis of PMAN.
He said, his desire is to bring change to the union, a change that will hopefully attract younger musicians to the union, after which he would retire to his business. “I have my family to take care of, and my business too. I do not have the intention to contest for PMAN prseident come next year,” he declared.
On the proposed peace campaign for the nation, Lucciano said, Nigerian musicians are determined to use their talents to preach for peace and unity in the country. “ I have called all of you here today to join the PMAN family in lighting a candle of prayer for our country and raising the flame of unity that will burn from city to city, house to house, state to state, churches to mosques and schools to shelters.
We are joining President Goodluck Jonathan who has called for prayers for our beloved country,” he stated. According to PMAN interim boss, the flame will make its return to Abuja National Stadium on the 1st of October, where a concert featuring about 30 Nigerian artistes, motivational speakers and religious leaders will light up an enduring flame through their prayers.
