The  People’s Democratic Movement (PDM) has  said that it had no plan to form alliance with anybody including President  Goodluck  Jonathan ahead of the 2015 general elections unless he defects to the party.

The party also cleared the air on the status of  former Vice President,  Atiku Abubakar, declaring that  he is neither a  card carrying member nor  financier of the party.

Addressing newsmen yesterday, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, the  State-protem chairman, Ishak Gbadamosi, also stated that the party would not even consider an offer from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, which is an offshoot of the PDM.

Gbadamosi, who was accompanied by other officials of the party  such as the Protem Secretary, David Adeife and Ogun West Senatorial Chairman; Mr. Muhammed Adeyemi among others said  the  PDM which got its certificate of registration as a political party last year,  “we will not form alliance with any other political party.

Any party that wants to join us must submit its certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission and come under the PDM.

“We don’t believe in godfatherism. PDM is not built around any individual. But it is a party with a well defined structure. And we are presenting candidates for all elective positions in the 2015 general elections.”

Speaking on zoning arrangement , Gbadamosi said the party would not apply zoning arrangement, describing   the concept of zoning as an abuse of people’s right.

While  assessing the government of Senator Ibikunle Amosun,  the Chairman  condemned the construction of models schools,  saying the  project was a sheer waste of public resources.

He said the governor could have used the huge fund to  renovate  and refurbish dilapidated existing schools.

He  also promised that  the PDM would revive all the moribund farm settlements in the state if voted into power in 2015, and introduce mechanised farming, so as to make it attractive to the youth.
