Arisekola Alao
A LEADING Islamic scholar, writer and founder of Daru Dawah Islamic centre, Isolo, Sheikh Mustapha Zuglool, has described the late Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Alhaji Abdulazeez Alao Arisekola as a star in his own time, adding that his death was a big loss to Islam in Nigeria.
Sheikh Zuglool reacting to the news of the death of Arisekola said: “Allah created some people like cows, chickens; their type will be many in numbers; He created some like lions, elephants; their type in creation will be very few; Allah created eras and star-like people in them.”
“Aare Musulumi was a star in his era. Few are figures who excel in social, business and political landscape with the most important one, religious life. Alhaji Arisekola’s exit is a big loss to Islam in Nigeria.”
He continued: “Your life reminds us of Abubakr, Uthman and Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf (during the time of the Prophet) who spent their wealth and life for Islam and humanity.
We pray Allah grant him first-class Al-janah and also give muslims in Nigeria the strength to bear this loss, Amin,” Zuglool said.
